Grant Writing

Grant proposals are critical for nonprofit organizations to reach their full potential. Often is the
case where individuals seek grant opportunities without knowledge of what grants are
designed for. First they are not for individuals seeking self support, support or a child or
relative, or grants for a “for profit business.”
To qualify you must…
1. Be incorporated as a Nonprofit Business
2. Have Bylaws approved by you Board of Directors
3. Have an active board of directors.
4. Have you determination letter from IRS
5. Have a current operating budget.
If you have not formed a Nonprofit business but you aspire to begin
one, we encourage you to move forward immediately. Your local
Community College Small Business Center offers free to lost cost
seminars to guide you on how to carry out the above requirements.
